Wolf Point West sits at 343 W. Wolf Point Plaza, on the point of land where the north and south branches of the Chicago River meet the main channel. The 509 unit tower was completed in 2016 by Magellan Development Group and designed by bKL Architecture, and its location gives it some of the most direct river views of any rental building in River North. The site is shared by three towers, including Wolf Point West’s sister building, Wolf Point East, and a landscaped riverfront park that connects to the Riverwalk as well as Blue Bottle Coffee.
Apartments at Wolf Point West
The building offers studios, convertibles, and one, two, and three bedroom apartments. Floor to ceiling windows run throughout, and many layouts include glass balconies. Kitchens have quartz countertops, GE stainless steel appliances, two tone cabinetry with high gloss uppers, and glass tile backsplashes. Floors are wood grain plank, and every apartment has an in-unit washer and dryer.
The views are what make this building special. East and south facing apartments look straight down the river toward the Loop, so in spring and fall you can watch the bridges lift for boat traffic from your living room. The top residential floors hold penthouse level apartments, some with large private terraces facing east over the water.
Amenities at Wolf Point West
Amenities are split between the bottom and top of the building. At ground level there is an outdoor pool and hot tub, a river lounge beside the pool, a golf simulator, a club room, a business center, secure bike storage, a dog run, and a dog spa.
Up top, the fitness center includes private training rooms, along with a sauna and steam room. The sky lounge opens onto a sky deck with outdoor kitchens, TVs, a fire pit, and lounge seating. The building has 24 hour door staff, is LEED certified, and welcomes both cats and dogs.

Location and Transportation
Wolf Point West is next door to the Merchandise Mart, which puts the Brown and Purple Line stop at the Mart about two blocks away. Clark/Lake, with Blue, Green, Pink, Brown, Purple, and Orange Line service, is a short walk across the river. Ogilvie and Union Station are both within walking distance, which makes this a strong option for anyone commuting by Metra.
The Riverwalk runs along the site, and the Loop, Fulton Market, and the restaurants along Hubbard and Kinzie are all a few minutes away on foot. Gibsons Italia is directly across the river on Canal Street, and on many spring and fall evenings Art on theMART is projected onto the Merchandise Mart’s river facade next door.
For renters who work in the Loop or West Loop and want water views without leaving the center of downtown, Wolf Point West is one of the best located buildings in the city.
