Looking for Chicago apartments near Northwestern in Streeterville? The Streeter at 345 E. Ohio Street and AtWater at 355 E. Ohio Street stand next to each other in Streeterville, and renters touring one almost always end up touring the other. Both were developed by Golub & Company and designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz, both have roughly 480 apartments, and both sit midway between Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier.
From the street they look like siblings. Inside, they’re different enough that the right choice usually comes down to which amenities you’ll actually use.
The Streeter at 345 E. Ohio
The Streeter opened in 2007 with 481 apartments in a tower of roughly 50 stories. It offers 14 floor plans, from studios and convertibles up to three bedrooms, plus penthouse level three bedroom units. Apartments have floor to ceiling windows, stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets in many layouts, and in-unit washers and dryers.
The Streeter’s biggest draw is its fitness and pool setup. An indoor resistance pool and whirlpool sit next to a large south facing sundeck with an outdoor pool, grills, and a see-through fireplace. The fitness center wraps around a basketball court that doubles as yoga space, and the locker rooms include saunas and steam rooms.
Residents also have a media room, a business center, a library, a resident lounge with a full kitchen and game tables, and a private party room. Cats and dogs are welcome, with breed restrictions for dogs, and attached parking is available.

Club 355 includes the fitness center, a spa with steam rooms and saunas, a media center, a party room, and an outdoor pool and sundeck with grilling areas. The building also has 24 hour door staff, a business center, coffee service, and dry cleaning service. Cats are welcome, and dogs are allowed on designated floors.
